This video really represents myself and all the underdogs. It symbolizes standing toe to toe taking hit after hit, never giving up and going the distance in life. Then prevailing and overcoming the odds by Heart, Fire, Passion and pure Determination. This video can be applied to a lot of people's life and struggles.
Rocky's words say it all in these two videos.
Sound advice from filmmaking rebel Robert Rodriguez that is just as valuable and applicable today as it was back in the day.

The Hurricane directed by Norman Jewison is based on the true story of Rubin "Hurricane" Carter based off his book The 16th Round. -Way of the Peaceful Warrior: A Book that Changes Lives by Dan Millman. During his junior year at the University of California, while training to become a world-champion gymnast, Dan Millman stumbled on a 94-year-old mentor nicknamed Socrates, a powerful, unpredictable, and elusive character. He taught a way to maximize performance using a unique blend of Eastern philosophy and Western fitness to cultivate the true essence of a champion - the "way of the peaceful warrior." Millman's first-person account of his odyssey into realms of light, darkness, mind, body, and spirit has since become an international bestseller about the universal quest for happiness. http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/isbnInquiry.asp?z=y&EAN=9780915811892&itm=1
The 16th Round is an autobiography written by the former boxer himself, Rubin "Hurricane" Carter, who was wrongly accused of murder back in the 60's. This book tells his life story and why he was wrongly imprisoned. What's really wonderful about this book is to see how one flawed man, so full of hate and anger, transcended into a wonderful philosophical human being during his 19+ years wrongfully imprisoned. This book is gritty and in your face as Carter reveals himself to the reader but one can't help to come away from this book inspired. This book is out of print and hard to find but well worth it if you ever come across a copy. http://www.amazon.com/Sixteenth-Round-Number-Contender-45472/dp/0140149295/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1226882402&sr=1-1
Something So Strong by Jim Capaldi from the cult classic Martial Arts movie Best of the Best.
Best of the Best by Stubblefield & Hall from the cult classic Martial Arts movie Best of the Best.
God Gave me a Reason by Hypnautic from his Album God Gave Me A Reason, this amazing song is also featured in my first movie, "Betrayed Heart."
Hurricane by the amazing singer song writer, Bob Dylan. Bob Dylan wrote this song for Rubin "Hurricane" Carter who was falsely accused and thrown in jail for a murder he didn't commit.
Here is a very touching and beautiful song by Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush. I fell in love with this song and the lyrics. It talks about a man who has fought for everything in his life but when he looses it all, his life starts to fall apart and he loses faith in himself. However, he has an amazing woman by his side that believes in him and encourages him not to give up in life. A powerful message is delivered in this amazing song by music legend Peter Gabriel.
My favorite movies ever. These amazing movies will inspire and motivate all those who watch and take them to heart. It is a rags to riches story that shows the struggles in life of all the underdogs of the world. Rocky also proves that if you have the Heart and Fire and go for it in life, you can make all your dreams come true. http://www.amazon.com/Rocky-Complete-Saga-Collection-Rocky-Complete/dp/B000WC3A0S/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1199510268&sr=1-1
One of the best Martial Arts movies made. It really captures the human spirit as well as the importance of coming together as a team when it is most called for. Like the tag line says "A team is not a team, if you don't give a damn about each other." http://www.amazon.com/Best-Eric-Roberts/dp/B0002O7XUE/ref=pd_bbs_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1199510244&sr=1-1
Words can't even begin to describe how powerful and meaningful this movie is. Based off the novel "Way of the Peaceful Warrior" by Dan Millman. It's about finding peace and happiness within ones self, enjoying the journey in your life and to not be so focused on the past and so worrisome about what the future will bring, it's about being in the moment and loving the Journey in life along the way, not whatever prize their may be at the end, if at all of the Journey. A very spiritual and uplifting film, that is simply a must see. http://video.barnesandnoble.com/search/product.asp?z=y&EAN=025195009126&itm=1
